It dawned on me yesterday that with the incredibly excessive presidential campaign coverage; there is one historic fact that isn’t getting much attention.  Unless something very strange occurs, we are going to elect a sitting senator to the White House.  The last time that happened was JFK in 1960.  Before that, you have to go back another 84 years.  We are going to break a 48-year-old record this year.  I plan to explore what this could mean in the future (although I’m sure I won’t be the only one).
